World War Hulk reached it's finale and I thought it was pretty good. I hadn't read Planet Hulk but Greg Pak seems to be the best Hulk writer in a long while.

I see in Avengers: The Intiative they've come up with a cover for the "Peter Parker is Spider-Man" mess.

An Initiative scientist grew three clones of Peter Parker apparently from tissue from the dead "Ben Rielly" clone of Peter. Those clones were dubbed the Scarlet Spiders and supposed to operate in secret (kind of like how Stark grew a Thor clone). They clones disobeyed orders and went out in public..Peter got involved in this as well. The clones, apparently feeling loyality for Peter, publically announced that Peter was part of the "Scarlet Spider Squad". According to what the clones told the press, Peter was never Spider-Man but wearing a suit (like them) to mimic the powers of Spider-Man. The clones then announced that Peter was "released" from the program and was to hand in his suit.

This left the public in doubt as to if Peter was Spider-Man or simply helping out. Even Jameson said "Peter Parker is Spider-Man...isn't he?"

Betty Brant pointed out the time Peter supposedly dressed up like Spider-Man to help Spider-Man against Doc Ock (back in the early days of the series) and said it would explain the "working relationship" Peter always had with Spider-Man.

Nope. It's basically the same thing done with Daredevil..the public suspects but "officially" it's not proven.

All they bneed to do is get Alfred to dress up in the spider suit so Pete & spidey can be seen at the same time in the same place

Seriously the only way they can put this genie back in the bottle is to merge the 616 & Ultimate Universes.

What type of supervillian is going to say "well you may not be Spider-man so I won't hurt you or the ones you love" ??

At best they'll say "You may not be Spider-man, but you are a friend of his so I'll case Webhead pain by killing you & your loved ones.

The whole civil war was an abortion, and Marvel f*cked up royally revealing Peter's identity.

I'm not even reading right now because I can't bear the place the stories have gone.
