As DC Theatre goes, these guys are about mid-level in terms of the significance of their reviews. Considering I'm on stage all of 7 minutes, I'm happy to have gotten a mention, at all.

Overall, they didn't like the show (misguided... the show's pretty damn good), but I'll take "comically frustrated." ;)

Police officers can be complicated, flawed, and even corrupt human beings at time

<snip>
Cops aspires to be a realistic, gritty, and ultimately shocking portrayal of police officers

<snip>

Warning: Play contains harsh language, loud gunfire, intense onstage violence, and smoking.

Portrayal of flawed characters...gritty...realistic...smoking.

Yeah, but set in 1978.

Dude.

Makes everything okay. ;)

This show could only improve if the the cops were motorcycle cops and the bikes were lifted on wires Peter Pan style at appropriate intervals. :D

And, look - Bill was pointed out as a highlight of the production. That's kind of cool, too.

Flying motorcycles. Now, where have I heard that idea before?

:eek:

The review comments below the critic's review seem to tell a better story. Some of them really liked it. Personally speaking, I think that most movie and theater critics hate their jobs.

Although the reviewer seems to have missed the brilliant but subtle nuances of my comically frustrated performance, the Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/01/09/AR2008010903326.html?hpid=sec-artsliving) loved us.

Indeed, having my name in the Washington Post — so long as it's not listed in a police report — is a good thing, indeed.

Still, though, a nice mention of my comically frustrated portrayal wouldn't have been unwelcomed... :cool:

Fuckin' actors...
