Oh, you've got to be flippin' kidding me!

She needs to replace her handlers, pronto. All this mindless hoopla over her is going to backfire in her face. Miley is like cotton candy - tasty for the moment (and in the right circumstances) but with no substance and no lingering appeal. Her pre-teen fans may go all gah-gah about reading her "secret diaries," but fundamentally a fifteen year old girl (especially one in her shoes) hasn't lived enough to have anything "inspired" to say. She needs to start thinking about her future. If she wants to continue her career past eighteen, she needs to show some maturity and restraint now, and her handlers should be advising her of this.

Oh, don't worry...

...just like every Disney chick that has been produced (Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Lindsay Lohan) she'll be well on her way to "unleashed bad girl hottie" status in no time.

Yeah ... followed by "crack whore meltdown."

Wonderful.

Memoirs used to be something that people, in the sunset of their lives, would write. These books would sometimes contain accounts of previously unheard stories, amusing or otherwise; bits (or volumes) of wisdom from one who had experienced much in his or her lifetime; and advice (usually given with love and often timely).

Nowadays, you have teen queens and 'never was' political candidates writing memoirs, as if they were anything more than just another way to part your money from your pocket.

Folks only have themselves to blame for this type of thing and only because it's encouraged.

Wonderful.

If the paparazzi get their way.

Personally I hope she endures a little better.

As for the memoirs? I'm a guy that reads wrestling autobiographies, so I don't really have a problem with this.

Are you serious? "Memoirs" from a 15-year-old?

Yeah. And she might surprise a lot of people.

And she's done a lot in so short a time. There are people in the world that are 50 that haven't done jack.

I will admit that some of it is not so good, but then again it could be worse. I doubt her mom shouted 'GET IT OUT OF ME IT'S CLEARLY A FREAK!!!' like Claudia Christian said her mom probably shouted when she was born.

To close out (hopefully)

The 'memoirs' will be what they'll be. They may be good, they may be bad. Who knows. They could be like Mick Foley's second Autobiograph where he told some elements of what happened after he won his first WWE Championship while at other times tried to show how the so called 'real world' is 'Faker than Wrestling'.

Personally I think Miley doesn't deserve a lot the grief she's getting. She's only 15, going on 16, and doesn't need people bashing her like GINOids do the Original Galactica at a Ron Moore lovefest. Still I will admit her handlers could be doing a bit of a better job.

Let me clear this just a bit. I'm NOT "giving her grief".

I'm rolling my eyes at the fact that someone would think that a 15 year-old had enough life experiences, to be able to write a memoir.

Granted, she is a famous singer and actress with a rather famous father but, do you honestly think that this 15-year-old has any business writing a memoir?

Hell's bells, she's in the beginning of her life. She's barely grazed the surface of life experiences.

At any rate, I can guarantee that her book will NOT be on my must buy, or even "thumb through at the bookstore", list.

(FYI, my remarks are "in general" and not directed at anyone in particular.)

I poke fun the concept of a 15 year old writing such a book.

IF I take a minute and step back I can see the humor comes from assuming it is a book directed at all ages. I'm sure this book is directed at her fan base the sub 18 set. So yes she has doen considerably more than most of the people in t hat age range.
