My girlfriend and I have very similar tastes when it comes to current TV programming, and we both love ST: TOS/TNG.
But it's been hard to get her at all interested in some of my favorite shows from the height of the '80s. (She's 29, so the '90s were her '80s).
However, last week I got her to agree to give the pilot episode of Moonlighting a chance, and she loved it! It took her a little while to get past the idea of Bruce Willis with hair ("Oh, my God... the hair" kept popping out every now and again), but before the end of the episode, she was already quoting David Addison.
So, Moonlighting is now in our rotation with House, Heroes, Boston Legal, T:SCC, Burn Notice, and Dexter. And re-experiencing Moonlighting with someone who has no idea what to expect from the series (though she's starting to get in-tune with the style) is kind of making it new to me, too.
Can't wait to get to "The Dream Sequence Always Rings Twice," and "Atomic Shakespeare (The Taming of the Shrew)!"
