In their $5 dollar bin, they've got T2 extreme edition, Running Man SE, Total Recall, Storm of the Century, and the 50 episode set of One Step Beyond.
They've got Buck Rogers Complete Series for 19.95.
And, they've got all of the 2 disc Star Trek SE's for $7.50 each!

Damn, I said I wasn't going to buy it because of the lack of commentary from Gil Gerard and Erin Gray... but 20 bucks? Geez.
I'll have to check out the discount bins at Wal-Mart more often I guess.

I saw Buck Rogers at Wal Mart for 19.99 about six months ago. For that price, I could live without the extras. Even if some of the show is unwatchable, where else are you going to get that many episodes of a TV series for only twenty bucks?

Agreed. I see a little extra present to myself in the not-too-distant future.
Here in D.C., though, the nearest Wal-Mart is a ways away. But I doubt the $20 Buck sets will completely clear the unsold DVD shelves before I'm able to get out there. ;)
I'm a huge fan of Metrorail.
No comments about my weight.

20 bucks for the whole Buck Rogers?
I must away to Wal-Mart... soon! :D

I was just at Wal-Mart last night. I'm kicking myself for not looking at the DVD's.
A return trip might be in order.

I was there on Sunday - same thoughts... 'look at the dvds, dummy!'
Maaan... one should scope out those cheap bins on occasion, shouldn't one?

Yeah - I picked up all 3 "seasons" of HBO's Spawn - special edition for 4.99 each a while back. I haven't been to Wally world in a while but they do have some good deals.

If I recall correctly I think they have The Triangle for $7.50 too, and the 25th Anniversary Editions of Dark Crystal and Labyrinth for under 10 bucks.

We grabbed the Buck Rogers DVD set when it first dropped to 20 bucks. Plan on finishing it off after all the first run stuff is over on tv, which at this rate won't be long at all.

I also got the entire season of Surface at Wal Mart for 19.99... I saw it when I bought BR, but I've been trying to keep my entertainment budget under control.
I was pretty happy getting Surface for only 20 bucks, especially when it was still being sold at Best Buy for twice that amount.

I'm thinking that too. Man, I hope A-Team and Quantum Leap drop down that much. Then I might forgive the lack of proper music and extras.

I never watched Surface.
I'm just so suspect of new SciFi that comes out today... I just don't see Hollywood executive structure that "gets" it. Which, I think, contributed to the demise of Firefly.

That's it. There's a Wal-Mart near the office. I'm making a trip.

There was one aspect of Surface that I never really got. It was a show that started out slowly, but every week managed to add a bit more than what it brought to the party from the week before. The series had made some very serious strides from beginning to end. Even though it got better, NBC still put it on the chopping block, but said that the finale would either leave the show at a satisfactory ending point, or make a terrific cliffhanger should they change their minds about it. The last episode of Surface was quite a humdinger, but it left all of the main characters in a place where, if it was the final chapter in the story, it was like leaving the characters dangling over a cliff with no hope of rescue an expecting the audience to accept that there was no hope - end of story.
Surface, as a genre series, was a complete surprise for me. Being that it was one of a few series that networks put out a couple of years ago, I really didn't place much hope for it, so I was surprised that it hooked me at all. For me, I wish that NBC had at least given it another 13 episodes to resolve the story before calling it quits.
I'm going to have to pull the DVD set out now....I feel a weekend marathon coming on!

Was Surface the one with Brent Spiner?

No, that was Threshold, which was on CBS. I bailed on that one as soon as it adopted and weird X-files-ish feel to it.

I think that will explain it better than I could.
