Went to the Download Festival at Donnington Park yesterday which is about seven miles from where I live.
Kiss headlined and this was the fifth time I'd seen them. Now, I have a lot of issues with the band but they're still my favourites and they put on a performance which I think was the best I've seen them do.
They played all of Alive 1 and then went off and came back to rapturous applause.
At one point Paul Stanley travelled over the audience's heads on a wire to perform Love Gun in the middle of the crowd just yards away from where I was standing.
Everyone was having a good time even the people far younger than I and everyone was singing and clapping along with the songs.
I also saw Motorhead earlier in the day, which was a first, they didn't disappoint whereas Judas Priest (who I'd never seen before either) did.
