Those cheeky bastards at BBC America have cheated me out of a Billie Piper sighting....

One of the shows that I've enjoyed the past couple of years is BBC's Top Gear, which is a very popular Automotive/entertainment show in the UK. Recently, BBC America has been running the episodes - they just completed showing all the episodes that were shown last year in the UK. One of the segments that they have is when they have a celebrity do laps in their "moderately priced car", a 4-door sedan to see how fast they can negotiate the course.

One thing about Top Gear is that the entire show runs a solid hour without commercials, but when shown in the US, the show is edited down to about 45 minutes. Some segments get cut one week and others another week.

Well...I had recently watched an episode where they tested the new Shelby GT500 Mustang. In this episode, they didn't show the celebrity lap, at least not in the states. When I was on the UK website for Top Gear today, the show I recently watched had Billie Piper as the celebrity lap driver for that episode. Those bloody, buggery boffins at BBCA cut it out! I'm gonna have to get a Canadian Broadcast for this ep so I can see Billie behind the wheel....!

Arggghhh!

If Billie got to drive that Shelby, she's living right! :D

Julie -

No, she didn't get to drive the Shelby, they leave the serious cars to the show presenters and "The Stig"... I did find a clip on the Billie Piper fan site so all of you can see it:
