Midway on Monday confirmed the release of Unreal Tournament 3 for PS3 on Dec. 10, this despite previous reports that the game would be delayed until 2008.

According to Midway, the PlayStation 3 version of the speed shooter will be available "in limited quantities" on Dec. 10 and carry an MSRP of US$59.95. The PC version of the game is in stores now.

The news comes as Midway previously delayed the game for PS3 until 2008, something developer Epic Games later said may or may not happen.

Hmmmm....now this has me thinking "dubious move." I hope it will not feel like a rushed, or unfinished product like "Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness", or "Star Trek: Legacy."

I agree. I've tried to play FPS on multiple console platforms and just can't get the hang of it. I pick it up almost instantly on the computer however.

I can play FPS games on either medium.

Unreal Tournament 2004 on PC
Star Trek Elite Force II on PC
NoOne Lives Forever 2 on PC

Resistance: Fall of Man on PS3
Call of Duty 3 and 4 on PS3 and Xbox 360
Halo 3 on 360
TimeSplitters 1,2, and Future Perfect on PS2
Clive Barker's Jericho on 360
Medal of Honor: Airborne on 360
TimeShift on 360

I can take a mouse/kb combo, or a controller...and it makes no difference to me.

Hi,

Well, my computer is a 3.00GHz Pentium D, but I don't buy games for it anymore. 50" HDTV vs. 19" LCD is no contest!

:D

I too adapt to FPS games on the PC quicker, But I'm working on my console skills, once I have them up, I feel I'll beable to make an informed comparison as to which is truely better.

The tribesman speaks the truth. :D

(of course, to be fair, there has also been the occasional console crash)
