Instructions to watch your green building techniques go up in smoke and flame and leave a huge carbon footprint:
1. Build a series of model homes, in the $1-2 million dollar range.
2. Use all sorts of enviro-friendly technologies, energy savers, and recycled materials
3. Do it beautifully so the ultra-rich or the nearly ultra-rich will want to buy them (the old develop the tech on the high end product line and eventually it will be affordable and desired (trendy) by the masses R&D method)
4. Locate them in the Pacific Northwest, home to many environmentalists
5. Watch as the entire neighborhood is torched by nutcase enviro-terrorists

I think you can see by my tone that I really think the enviro-terrorists cause more damage with their actions than they help. I mean, I wonder how many species' lungs were damaged by the smoke from the fire itself?
